This site is dedicated to people of Chinese descent from all around the world, who are are bound together by the common ties of languages, a shared history, cultures, food, dialects and customs. Since the turn of the 21 st century, Chinese descent from all over the world have gained much new attention as well as respect and recognition from the global community mainly due to the rise of China as the new economic superpower of the world. Today, it is estimated that there are over 1.3 billion Chinese living in The People’s Republic of China, in addition to another 100 million overseas Chinese, residing in almost every country of the world. The rising population and recognition of Chinese inspired me to launch Chinese.com.
This site aims to serve the global Chinese community, regardless of nationality, by focusing on cultural and social aspects. Our visions are to:
– Make Chinese history, culture and people better valued, respected and appreciated.
– Bring together Chinese communities from every corner of the world by making this site a common place to communicate, interact and grow.
– Promote a global culture of peace, tolerance and respect within our users- community.
Chinese.com will try our very best to stay neutral by remaining non-judgmental and non-confrontational on topics related to Politics, Ideologies and Religions.
This platform will NOT tolerate any users who promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, national origin and caste. We do NOT allow content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism. We also do NOT allow false, defamatory or malicious content intended to damage or disrupt any individuals, organizations and countries. We will not hesitate to work with any local or international law enforcement agencies to phase out such users from our platform, shall the need arise.
Launched on the worst year of our generation, 2020, the first version of Chinese.com may have a lot of flaws, deficiencies and weaknesses but most innovations never started perfectly. There will be a series of upgrades, improvements and new features to be deployed for years to come in order to achieve the objectives set forth in this platform.
I wish to promote, build and market Chinese.com as a nonprofit venture to cherish and unite people of Chinese descent from all around the world. Therefore, I invite every Chinese citizen of the world, regardless of nationality, as well as Chinese Corporates to share and contribute your excellent knowledge & technology to assist Chinese.com to become a common platform for the pride of the global Chinese communities for generations to come.
